Welcome to The Coeur D’ Alene Ranch! Becoming one of the most sought after destinations in the U.S. edge of the Rocky Mountains. Ultra private campsite with a panoramic 360 degree view of CDA lake with hiking, biking, canoeing, fishing and playing! Cda Ranch is part of Tentr (a private campsite company that allows you to connect with landowners who share their land to people!) Before this, I had never heard of Tentr so I can’t wait to explore other places on there!
This was one of the coolest places we’ve ever camped. Every time I stepped out of the tent that view took my breath away. It was an experience that I just hope everyone has the chance to go up there!
Our host, Tim, was even better. He sent us over a short PDF explaining everything to a T. We texted back n fourth a couple times but other than that we didn’t have any questions & it was all set up! He was truly so helpful and eager to make sure we had a good time.

your phone. If you plug in “Powderhorn Bay, ID you will get close.
Pet friendly?
Yes!
What amenities are included?
“At Coeur d’Alene Ranch we have years of camping experience and aim to make camping enjoyable rather than an experience you “get through.”
Every stay at Coeur d’Alene Ranch includes:
– Queen over queen bunk beds with memory foam mattresses, sheets, comforters and pillows.
– A campstove (w/fuel), a mini BBQ (w/fuel), a campfire grill, pots, pans and utensils required to cook meals.
– A fire pit and ample firewood (when permitted). When wood fires are prohibited, a gas fire pit and fuel are provided.
– A couple of hammocks
– Two 9 gallon containers of potable water
What do I need to bring?
– Consumables (plates, napkins, cutlery, cups, etc.)
– Food and drinking water
– Outdoor gear (warm clothing, long pants, mosquito repellent, binoculars,
toilet paper, soap, etc.)
Can I have a campfire?
Usually, the answer is yes. However, they often have a burn ban that is imposed later in the summer. In this case, they offer a gas campfire as a replacement. Fires can be very dangerous in the middle of a dry forest. They implore you to please be super careful with regard to fires. Please make SURE you douse the fire with plenty of water before you leave. Also, please keep fires small and in the designated fire pit. Thank you.
Are there wild animals there? Should I be afraid?
We definitely brought a gun lol. But Yes, there are a lot of wild animals. It is quite common to see: deer, turkeys, elk, moose, red-tailed hawks and bald eagles. Less common we see: black bears, mountain lions & coyotes. If you are fortunate enough to stay in September, there is a good chance you will hear elk bugling. It is amazing (do a YouTube search). Should you be afraid? Are you the slowest member of your group? Did you run track in high school? Just kidding. Almost all wild animals run when they see you. Use common sense. Don’t leave food or garbage out to tempt them.
Is there lake access?
Yes! Lake and boat access.
– 2 canoes (one red and one aluminum), oars and lifejackets
– 2 fishing poles and a few lures known to attract local fishes
– beach chairs are down there. BRING down a small cooler with your favorite things, bring a lighter and s’mores things, there’s a fire pit with wood on the beach!
– It is a rocky beach with lots of driftwood and a great view of the lake.
Where do you suggest we go biking?
Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes is a 73 mile bike trail that goes from Mullan to Plummer. There are many places to jump on the trail. favorite ride >> (Harrison to Railroad Bridge)
Then, on your return to Harrison, we’ve always loved & highly recommend The Creamery for ice cream.
We had the best, most peaceful camping trip. Can’t wait to hear about yours up there! Please let me know how it was and tag me in your pictures!
